Bitwise, Multicoin, Matthew Ball set up Metaverse Crypto Index Fund
Bitwise Asset Management, Multicoin Capital and Matthew Ball have launched the Ball Multicoin Bitwise Metaverse Index Fund, a metaverse crypto asset index and fund with 40 crypto assets. Matthew Ball describes it as a “rules-driven index that combines the best of institutional indexing approaches with special adaptations to the crypto and metaverse spaces.”
The fund’s goal is to monitor the crypto assets that “will be outsized contributors to the creation and success of an open metaverse.”
Ball also shares that the fund “exists so that investors can participate in what we believe is a multi-trillion dollar transformation, which will unfold over the coming decade.”
Samsung US sets up Discord for Web3 ‘wonders’, NFTs access
Tech giant Samsung’s US arm has announced its new Discord channel “to support its Web3 activities.”
“The Samsung US Discord server is specially designed as a fun, interactive way for fans, gamers and creators to interact and get exclusive access to products, events, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and other Web3-based wonders,” the company said in a statement.
English Premier League steps into Web3 world with NFT trademarks
The English Premier League (EPL) has filed NFT and cryptocurrency trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), according to an attorney Michael Kondoudis.
The two filings are related to the league’s name and logo and the “loving cup trophy.”
The trademark filings cover Premier League trademarks in “virtual, augmented, and mixed reality software,” the creation and sale of digital assets, online clothing, and media files verified by NFTs. They also include the use of Premier League trademarks in “virtual, augmented, and mixed reality software.”
