Despite the fact the crypto industry is considered to be as inclusive as it gets, women are still underrepresented in the space. In 2019, women made up only 4-6% of the individuals hovering in the crypto world. And even though with the popularity of cryptocurrencies, the number of people involved with the industry is growing, women, especially women of color, might still find themselves experiencing discrimination the same way they do in traditional industries.
That’s why it’s as important as ever to have a platform — a safe space — where women can come together, support each other, grow as professionals (and as individuals), and, what’s even more beneficial for the industry, discuss ideas, issues and solutions for the Web3 world.
Amberfi is hosting a special event during Permissionless in West Palm Beach, Florida, on May 17, at the Grato restaurant, and we’d love for you to come and be a part of it! The event will be hosted by our co-founder JD Lasica, chief marketing officer Ellyse Amelia and video journalist Haley Cromer (cocktails, appetizers and a great atmosphere guaranteed!)
